Imperial California Deployment
We are excited to announce a new deployment with the City of Imperial, California 🇺🇸, home of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
Our sensors are now helping the city monitor key wastewater assets across their sanitary sewer network, supporting operators in identifying risks early and protecting critical infrastructure.
Across the city, our sensors are being deployed in two main ways: to strengthen their lift station monitoring and support proactive network management.
Upstream of lift stations, the devices act as secondary alarms, providing an additional layer of visibility into rising levels and helping operators respond quickly if issues occur. Sensors are also installed at hotspot locations where sewer backups have historically occurred, allowing the city to monitor conditions in real time and detect potential blockages earlier️. With a surge in residential housing growth, these sensors will also help the city manage and anticipate flows proactively as the network and its load expands.
Together, these deployments help the City of Imperial monitor critical assets, build resilience across the sewer network, and better plan maintenance activities such as jetting, helping teams stay ahead of blockages and reducing the risk of backups. By installing monitoring early in parts of the network, the city is future-proofing key assets, enabling proactive management of flows and potential capacity constraints as the community expands.
Huge thanks to the fantastic team at the City of Imperial for their collaboration and support in making this deployment possible!
Here’s to many more deployments helping utilities stay ahead of flooding, blockages, and operational risk .
