ManholeMetrics expands monitoring across New York with NYC DEP

We’re proud to announce a new deployment with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP), working alongside Oldcastle Infrastructure and the Partnership for New York City’s Environmental Tech Lab, supporting wastewater monitoring across multiple locations in New York City and New York State.

This deployment will provide greater visibility into wastewater network conditions across five borough locations, while additional monitoring in Grahamsville and Tannersville will focus on areas with a history of sewer backups. The sensors will provide continuous level data to help teams better understand network performance, identify developing issues earlier, and support sewer capacity monitoring and operational decision-making.

NYC DEP manages one of the largest and most complex water and wastewater systems in the United States, serving more than 8 million New Yorkers and maintaining an extensive network of sewer infrastructure. This deployment will support ongoing efforts to improve network visibility with scalable, real-time monitoring across both dense urban environments and more remote parts of New York State.
