ManholeMetrics Deploys in Imperial CA

Level Sensor Deployment Imperial CA

We’re excited to announce a new wastewater monitoring deployment with the City of Imperial CA, supporting critical sewer infrastructure across the city’s sanitary sewer network.

Our wastewater level sensors are being deployed in two primary ways to help operators identify risks earlier and improve proactive network management. Upstream of lift stations, the sensors act as secondary alarms by providing an additional layer of visibility into rising water levels and helping teams respond quickly if issues occur.

Sensors have also been installed at hotspot locations where sewer backups have historically occurred, allowing operators to monitor conditions in real time and identify potential blockages earlier. With continued residential growth across the city, the deployment will also help the City of Imperial proactively manage flows and better understand how network demand changes as the community expands.

Together, these deployments help strengthen wastewater network resilience, support maintenance planning activities such as jetting, and reduce the risk of sewer backups and operational disruptions. By deploying monitoring systems early across key parts of the network, the city is also improving long-term visibility into potential capacity constraints and future infrastructure needs.

A big thank you to the team at the City of Imperial for their collaboration and support throughout the deployment.
